When running do-release-upgrade either as sudo or normal user it crashes with "An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade"

Bug Description

I was using apt-fast to download the packages and then it crashed afterwards i tried restarting the process but exits with the same error also tried rebooting and all the other basic troubleshooting procedures.
