Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Reviewing the files from your upgrade attempt, you have installed pipewire packages from the pipewire-debian/pipewire-upstream PPA. Some of the packages installed are newer than those in the official archive, which is keeping some pipewire-related packages installed which then prevents the upgrade from being calculated. Please try using the ppa-purge tool to remove packages installed from ppa:pipewire-debian/pipewire-upstream by running ppa-purge -s ppa.launchpad.net -o pipewire-debian -p pipewire-upstream. After that you can try upgrading again and if it still fails open a new bug report. Thanks and good luck!

Changed in ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
tags: added: pipewire-debian

Dear Mr Rosbrook !
Thank you for your email regarding my upgrade problems
22.10. Since I'm just a poor PC user without much knowledge, I request a
very precise instruction and description on how to solve the upgrade.
I can do very little with today's solution tips, since it is not
explained where and how to do it.
So I ask for detailed solutions
Thanks in advance
Eric Schaffer

The command is included above, but here:

$ sudo apt install ppa-purge
$ ppa-purge -s ppa.launchpad.net -o pipewire-debian -p pipewire-upstream

Then try the upgrade again.
