By itself, those messages about apparmor DENIED and the snap tracking status should be harmless.

I do note that your log still shows the problem getting ubuntu-minimal like mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1993924/comments/5 - some sort of network problem is still possible.

It would be best to not open new bugs for an existing upgrade problem, so if you still suspect a bug in the upgrade please list that on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1993924 - Thanks!

Changed in ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Thanks for your prompt courteous replies.

PS Dan's boss if you just happened to see this. 2 words

The Ubuntu-minimal is a head scratcher:
root@nut:~#
root@nut:~# apt-get install ubuntu-minimal -y
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
ubuntu-minimal is already the newest version (1.450.2).
The following package was automatically installed and is no longer required:
  libxmlb1
Use 'apt autoremove' to remove it.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Are there other upgrade methods you recommend I might should try? IE: with
a USB / CD /ISO image vthat might be less poainful than debugging thelogs.
Oh oh that reminds me when in step 1 of the upgrade it stops at the same
place installing 96/136 packages. Does that help any?
Thanks for all your help,
