Bug Description

upgrading from ubuntu studio 21.04 to 21.10 did not work. It complained about a third part ppa, which in my case is pipewire. I disabled it and it made no difference.

Please try removing the ubuntustudio-desktop-core package (which last available in Focal) and attempt the upgrade again. Thanks in advance!
