Bug Description

Upgrading Operating System (OS) from Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS to Ubuntu 20.10 is executing but not finalizing all steps before computer reboot. I am willing to reset ubuntu to "factory settings" to get this upgrade OS to work. after googling for solutions; none of the commands work to complete the process iu terminal.

You have a lot of PPA's in use. See /etc/apt/source.list.d/ for details. You need to run ppa-purge on them to revert to standard package versions before attempting to upgrade.
