Recovery is via Grub and selecting the old last as installed Kernel vmlinuz-
Please note that this has happened since I upgraded

3)I expected to kernel to complete booting.
4)What happened was, it hangs, for hours.

This bug is now moot as I have upgraded to 20.04.1 and it boots perfectly.
