Bug Description

The dpkg is 'linux-modules-extra', but for whatever reason, I can't insert it as package in the bug:-(

It looks like the module finds the SD card device but it does not see anything when I try to insert different types of SD cards (2GB ... 32GB) :-(

It seems, that the Realtek device should work (I found different problem reports for different kernels:-()
I also tried the 5.6.0 oem kernel, but I did not see any difference:-(

The P53 is supposed to be a certified laptop:-(

Any other info, I can provide? Please just let me know.

Thanks,
-- Marco

As a test, I built a stock 5.6.15 kernel and that seems to be happy with the SD card reader. I tried different speeds/sizes cards and all were recognized as expected.

So, there is hope;-) But the 5.6.15 is not signed (of course) and it seems to have problems with the dkms setup:-( I could probably get the dkms to work, but I can't sign the kernel:-( This test will end here:-(
