Bug Description

This has the same symptoms as bug #1072460. I have raised a new bug report for two reasons, firstly a fix has been released for that bug report and secondly it is for an upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 (as referenced in the description) so the bug is several years old.

The basic symptoms are the same however, with a relatively low resolution screen (eg. 1366x768 which isn't that uncommon even now) when you expand the details view after running update-manager -d the buttons at the bottom of the window drop blow the base of the screen. There is no way to move the top of the window above the top of the screen, even with keyboard shortcuts, and there is no way to resize the window either. If you close the details view the window remains at the larger size so the buttons do not return to this visible screen area. The only way I have found to get out of this is to use the ESC key to cancel the process cleanly. I have had no success using TAB to move to the buttons, even if I have noted the order in the hope of selecting the correct one (a bit of a risk of getting the wrong one potentially).
