Bug Description
After today's (February 23) software update Huawei 3372H-153 modem is not working anymore (it was working for last 6 weeks). Modem itself is OK - provides connection when used with router instead of sticking it to laptop directly.

I had the same problem. The usb modem was detected as CD-ROM. I had to install driver manually and now the modem works fine. See /askubuntu. com/questions/ 790490/ ubuntu- 16-04-usb- modem-detected- as-cd-rom- unable- to-connect

Hope it helps.
