Mouse cursor dosnt work after the PC is suspended and lags

Bug Description

1) After I close the lid of the Laptop and reopen it again and when i click any where on the screen, the cursor(touchpad) stops working, But works fine with the external mouse.
This issue is present only with the Laptop lid and works fine when i manually suspend

2)Cursor hangs and lags on normal operation

Iam using Dell Vostro 3558 Model and ubuntu 17.10
