Bug Description
"This can be caused by:
* Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
* Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu"
None of this applies. I *did* have unofficial software packages when I first got this error, but I removed all of them, I believe (removed everything under "Obsolete ... Packages" in aptitude). Still getting the error.

After digging around some related bugs and from there poking around /var/log/ dist-upgrade, I concluded that it was getting stuck on rdnssd, which I wasn't really using anyway. I removed it, and have at least so far gotten past this error.
