Bug Description

I am running Ubunutu 16.04.1 LTS with Gnome 3.20 this bug has previously been reported as
a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1548425 which I believe is also tagged as completed.

16.04.1 was installed in Sept 2016 as an upgrade from 14.04.2, and was not a "new" installation.

Since the crash report screen will NOT allow me to cut & paste, I cannot transfer the information from it to this bug report. (and I know of no other way to get the information to you.)

update-manager 1:16.04.4
architecture amd64
curent desktop GNOME
Linux version 4.4.0-45-generic (buildd@lgw01-34) (gcc version 5.4.0 20150609) (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16,04.2() #66Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 19 14:12:37 UTC 2016 (Ubuntu 4.4.0-45.66-generic 4.4.21)

As soon as I click on "continue" from that report, Software Updater will run normally...

Please fix this as soon as you can in the gnome 3.20 system. Yes I am aware that it is a development system, but it contains fixes for my system that are super critical and allow me to run Ubuntu 16.04...

...and while I'm thinking about it, the crash report screen should be modified to allow "cut & paste" copy operations - would make life easier in some situations.

the issue is due to the use of GTK from the GNOME ppa though ideally the tools should be accomodated to work as well with that version
