3/ I let software&update application making the upgrade to 16.04 LTS as recommended.
   it crashed on reboot.

4/ No way to get recovery from linux-image-4.4.0-36-generic (4.4.0-36.55~14.04.1) ...
   nor from previous linux/image-3.3.39
