Bug Description
1) Version: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
2) Package version: ubuntu-
3) Expected Results: Installed Ubuntu 14.04 LTS since it was the only disk I had, and expected to upgrade to latest version of Ubuntu by telling Ubuntu to notify me of any new version instead of staying on the LTS channel.
4) Actual Results: Unfortunately, the upgrade tool doesn't want to work for whatever reason, stating that I'm on a pre-release channel or something along those lines. Either way, I am unable to migrate to the next newest version of Ubuntu.
*NOTE* When I performed the fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, I chose not to download updates or install restricted packages... Don't know if that had an effect on the problem...
