Bug Description

So hello, i have recently installed ubuntu 15.04 from windows 7. All installation process worked like a charm. Whenever i boot up my computer it flashes a purple screen and then nothing, the computer keeps running but the screen is blank! I then switch the computer off with the power on switch. I then boot up again and takes me normally into ubuntu. This happens every time i boot up the computer. Please help me if you can!

Happens intermittently on cold boot, reboot and waking from sleep. From the observation so far I had two successful boots in a row, didn't have two black screen boots in a row.

My hardware: Dell Inspiron 5558, Intel HD 5500 / Nvidia 920M, running Bumblebee with proprietary Nvidia driver (I'll add lspci output later).

Hi all,
I also have similar issue. When I reboot Ubuntu through "Shut Down" - "Restart" I get black screen after reboot (but I hear sound that notify about Ubuntu login screen). Then if I do hard shut down with power button and start up my notebook with this button again I see grub menu and Ubuntu starts normally, without any problem.

Suspend mode working without any problems.

Hardware: Samsung NP535U3C, AMD Radeon HD7500G (using open source driver - X.Org X server).
