Bug Description
Hi, I recently upgraded from 12.04 LTS to 14.04 LTS and it went smoothly with no errors reported. A couple of post-install problems were resolved via the release notes but there was one other issue which the release notes did not cover. I had no sound, was unable to mount usb pen drives, and various other issues which seemed possibly related to user privileges. I got a clue from a forum thread and all was fixed by issuing the command "sudo pam-auth-update --force". Anyway just wanted to report it as would probably be quite easy to do that automatically post-upgrade and avoid others experiencing the same.
