Upgrade to 14.04 fails on pretty-much clean 13.10 installation

I was prompted to upgrade my pretty-much clean 13.10 installation, I accepted. It failed. :-(

Currently running 13.10
N/A
I expected it to upgrade to 14.04
It failed to install and prompeted me to post this bug.
