Bug Description

Similarly to another bug (#1059834) which has been reported already, but this time it is about the upgrade 13.10 => 14.04 (that's why I opened a new bug). The upgrade sequence stopped at the second point (installing new package sources if I remember correctly) telling me the following:

Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop'
It was impossible to install a required package. Please report this as a bug using 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal.

Thanks for your report.

This is because you have packages from gnome3 PPA installed on your system. Please revert them to the version from the official Ubuntu repository. I'm closing this report because it is not a bug in Ubuntu.

Changed in ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu):
