Confirming, and moving to ubuntu-mono (since that's where I believe the issue is... AFAICT it doesn't affect other themes such as gnome, hicolor, etc.)

After the last update of ubuntu-mono to 0.0.25 (and 0.0.26), the icon cache can no longer be regenerated properly. Reverting to ubuntu-mono 0.0.24 works.

Eric, as far as I know this is for Natty, correct? It would still be useful to confirm it's the case, but I can't think of another update elsewhere that could have caused this.

affects: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) → ubuntu-mono (Ubuntu)
Changed in ubuntu-mono (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Confirmed

Yes, it's in Natty. I'm not all that familiar with Launchpad yet so didn't see the right place to indicate that.

Actually this is a bug in the package libappindicator1_0.3.0-0ubuntu1.
Downgrading to the previous version solves the issue (workaround).

BTW this is a duplicate of the bug #741385
