Bug Description

Version 173 of the NVidia drivers is the latest stable usable one. The now "current [recommended]" version shouldn't be recommended at all because it is completely unstable. Every window you close will leave permanent garbage on the screen which will stay on top of new active windows! Random white blobs appear on top of video or moving images. It is a mess.
It clearly hasn't been tested enough (I don't have any rare or strange combination of hardware nor software and I needed only one minute of normal use to find it completely unusable). It should be still called BETA as it has not improved a bit in stability compared to a few months ago when it was called "beta" (and it had exactly the same issues).
