Bug Description
I was using the Natty Narwhal prerelease version. The update manager said it was ready for a partial upgrade. I noticed in the upgrade it was going to be removing the unity package, which I thought was odd but I ignored it and told it to upgrade. Now ubuntu-desktop and unity are both uninstalled, and I can't reinstall either one.
ubuntu-desktop says from synaptic when I mark it for install:
ubuntu-desktop:
Depends: unity but it is not going to be installed
and unity says:
unity:
Depends: libnux-0.9-0 (<0.9.12) but 0.9.12-0ubuntu1 is to be installed

To make this more than a "Me too" post, I'm going to go ahead and include the information from attempting command-line install.
