Bug Description

ubuntu-desktop depends on network-manager-applet

I want to uninstall NetworkManager because it breaks NIS (bug 50430).

Can't do that as long as ubuntu-desktop (indirectly) depends on NetworkManager.

So please downgrade ubuntu-desktop's network-manager-applet dependency from "depends" to "recommends".

The applet was removed, but currently network-manager itself is set as recommended. Marking as fixed.
