Bug Description

When i try to compile a .tar.gz, i can't compile it until i install build-essential and checkinstall.
I think that's good to include build-essential and checkinstall by default, because it's easier to compile a file.

This isn't a needs-packaging bug report because build-essential and checkinstall are already packaged.

This bug is incomplete and unclear. To me this seems like more of a suggestion than a bug, if it is just a suggestion then please remove it promptly, this is for bug reports only, there are loads of bugs to triage and suggestions do nothing but waste triager's time when trying to triage bugs. If this is a suggestion you wish to voice then please post it here:
http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/

If this is a genuine bug you wish to report, please specify which distrobution you are using, what the problem is exactly, and the effects it is having.

This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Subsequently, I'm setting this bug's status to Wishlist.

We're not going to include the full build-tools on a default install... Too few people will need it. Thanks for the suggestion though, and please keep reporting bugs to Ubuntu.
