Bug Description

As you should know partimage is not included in ubuntu liveCD which gives an install/test only purpose to the ubuntu liveCD whereas we are many willing to use it also as an advanced tool.

Partimage inclusion in the liveCD would be very interesting as many users, including me, do not want to download one more live CD to ghost their system.

So i just wanted to put this on the table as there's a need for it.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in casper.

Ralph: casper is specifically and only the live CD *boot* process. Issues of which software should go on the live CD are for ubuntu-meta.

marking as confirmed, it's a tiny little package and it would make a big difference!

Hello,
here is just another vote for the inclusion of partimage in the standard install/Live-CD.

Thanks,
