All Desktop icon disappear if 'Desktop' Folder contains a corrupted encoding file

Hi,
For this to happen, you should have "Desktop icons" activated.
After downloading from my browser directly to my '$HOME/Desktop/' folder a file corrupted with an unknown encoding (or partially downloaded therefore corrupted with a bad encoding, anyway), ALL the icons on my ubuntu-
To fix it, and after looking around what the heck was happening, rebooted, deactivated Extensions, etc. Without any working Fix, I deleted this bad encoding/corrupted file and ALL the icons on my ubuntu-
