Bug Description

Hi,

For this to happen, you should have "Desktop icons" activated.

After downloading from my browser directly to my '$HOME/Desktop/' folder a file corrupted with an unknown encoding (or partially downloaded therefore corrupted with a bad encoding, anyway), ALL the icons on my ubuntu-desktop/Gnome3 Desktop environment disappeared.

To fix it, and after looking around what the heck was happening, rebooted, deactivated Extensions, etc. Without any working Fix, I deleted this bad encoding/corrupted file and ALL the icons on my ubuntu-desktop/Gnome3 Desktop environment display normally again.

Thank you,
Regards,
