Live CD hangs during "Configuring Language"

Bug Description

I just downloaded the 5.04 Live CD from the mirror in Germany. I then burnt the
ISO image and tried to boot from the CD. The process hangs during "Configuring
Language". I tried this with the (default) English language and the Dutch
language. Both times it hangs. I then did a check of the CD from within the
Ubuntu main menu. This resulted in an MD5 checksum error of the file
./casper/filesystem.cloop. First I thought the error originated from downloading
the image, but the MD5sum of the downloaded image corresponds with the one on
the Irisch download mirror. (there isn't one on the German mirror) So I guess
the problem is in the ISO image.

The correct md5sums for the official ISOs are:

664e3d7864c0f4f2d2efc09ec230fb2e ubuntu-5.04-live-amd64.iso
77a1a8be45e0cc93a14c9b9bf00f6648 ubuntu-5.04-live-i386.iso
811a1aec315dae0ceef5d8e626584874 ubuntu-5.04-live-powerpc.iso

If your image matches one of those, then the problem is most likely with your
media (the images are tested and verified well before release).

If your image does not match one of those, then it's possible that the image on
the mirror is corrupt. If that is the case, please reopen the bug and provide
the exact URL where you downloaded it.

Being a member of the OpenOffice.org project I'm really amazed with speed you
pick up things! This is great!

Regarding my problem: I burnt a new CD at a lower speed and guess what: It works
now indeed.

Thanks.
