ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

1. burn the latest daily amd64
2. on a uefi system boot the image

I expect the initial menu to make some kind of reference to the image being install

It lists the version of grub being use and the menu entries

Certainly not grub, which doesn't support UEFI. Reassigning to grub2.

affects: grub (Ubuntu) → grub2 (Ubuntu)

I can't really understand what you are saying. Can you try to describe the boot menu you see better? Perhaps a screen shot?

Changed in grub2 (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

This has been the same menu since efi was entered making it harder and harder to figure out what version of ubuntu is on the disk/pendrive without firing it up further.

Simply adding Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Ubuntu 16.10 Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS etc somewhere on this menu would save a lot of time and effort.

Changed in grub2 (Ubuntu):
status: Incomplete → Confirmed

Ahh, that has to do with how the cd itself is prepared.

affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) → ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu)
