Bug Description

The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding ubuntu-mate-welcome. This problem was most recently seen with version 16.04.9.1, the problem page at https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/d219a0285acd1e7ed4db542d8fa18c701576219a contains more details.

While it might be fixed in Yakkety or Zesty, it is not fixed in Xenial. Do you think it might be worth fixing there?

I've looked at the error's stack trace and can replicate the problem. This only occurs on arm64 systems when trying to use the Software "Boutique" facility. The affected Xenial version (16.04.9.1) does not have any software listed for arm64 hence the error, but the application doesn't crash.
