Bug Description

I was using my bq aquaris e4.5 (ubuntu 15.04, OTA-10.1 [most recent "official" actualisation]) and suddenly my keyboard disappeared!

It simply doesn't exist anymore! I have tried to restart my phone many times, but nothing changes, the keyboard doesn't appear anymore!

Is there anyway to have my keyboard back?

(I'm not a real expert of programming (not at all!))

I hope that there is a useful solution, because it is impossible to use such a phone! I can't do nothing like that…

When you say you reinitialised your phone, do you mean you reset it to factory settings or just restarted it again and it then started working?

If they're still present could you upload the unity8 and maliit-server log files from ~/.cache/upstart/

Thanks!

I have decided to reset the phone… (simple restart didn't work!)

(But now, I remember that I already had this problem in december… I asked some help on this page http://ubuntouch-fr.org/forum/topic-353+bug-clavier.php#m4004 ,I'm sorry it's in french!)

I'm sorry that I can't help anymore with the bug files, but it was really unpossible to use the phone without keyboard and I really needed it today…
