keyboard crashes and does not comeback until reboot

Bug Description

Sometime , randomly, the keyboard disapears on the phone and clicking in any field text boxes does not bring it back without reboot. There is not crash file in /var/crash

Does this happen in RTM or just in Vivid? Are there any details about what the user was doing immediately prior to this happening? I've never encountered this myself, so without further details there's not much to go on, I'm afraid.

Also, please be aware that any crash file generated would be called "_usr_bin_maliit-server" (which might not be obviously related to the keyboard for anyone unfamiliar with the OSK infrastructure).

That said, if it was an actual crash the process should be automatically respawned by upstart, so it not restarting and there not being a crash file would be consistent with the process still running but for some reason not responding to focus events, or possibly not receiving focus events.
