No user selection in Karmic login screen (KDM)

For many releases now Kubuntu's login screen has had user selection. This is essential especially to those who are not too familiar with computers and helps many other user types too! I'm not getting this user selection anymore in Karmic. It is a shame if you just decided to ditch it suddenly! I call it regression.

The current theme is nice and integrated. But it too has room for the user selection, but it is just missing. Or am I just not knowing how to use it?

Also a minor note that typing the password wrong just kinda flashes the password field. It doesn't give any more obvious feedback like a message that the password was wrong (previous ones did display a red text). This is little more informative to the less experienced people!

More precisely this is not just a complaint about the default behavior of having to type in the username versus clicking on one in the list. It is a real bug - changing the setting to display the list does nothing! Go to System Settings -> [tab] Advanced -> Logon Manager (KDM) -> [enter password] -> [tab] Users -> [left bottom under Users] set the checkmark for "Show list". (Setting the application language to English and restarting the system settings only changes some texts to English while others stay German, so I am guessing at some of the texts.) Reboot. No change.

I can confirm this bug. The setting of 'Show List' in the 'Login Manager's 'Users' tab does nothing. It should display a list of all users present in the system at the login screen.
Although some people consider it a 'security issue' to display a list of all users of the system at login, but it should at least be configurable for people who want such feature.
