Bug Description

I am using an Nvidia Tesla GPU unit C2070 for numerical calculations exclusively. I have installed the cuda 6.5 toolkit which includes the Nvidia drivers. My system also has an Intel video card that I use for display. The only way to make cuda and the intel display is to work together is by means of a custom xorg.conf, forcing the X server to work on the Intel card and the Cuda applications on the Nvidia Tesla unit.

Once I have done the required changes to xorg.conf I reboot, X crashes and the changes to xorg.conf are gone. According to the gpu-manager log, it modified the file... Wouldn't it be a simple matter to include a config file option to tell gpu-manager not to modify xorg.conf when needed?

I just upgraded from 12.04 to 14.04, gpu-manager version is 1:0.2.91.7 . Any help is appreciated, thanks!
