Download manager follows redirect without considering HTTP code

Bug #1384421 reported by Robert Schroll
This bug affects 2 people
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
ubuntu-download-manager (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

For example, consider this link: (the epub link from, in case that session key expires). A few 302 redirects later, it ends up at, from where the epub file will be served (with response 200). But it also includes a redirect header back to the HTML page, for browsers. We should get the epub file and ignore this last redirect, but instead we follow it and ignore the epub file.
