Given that universe and multiverse are enabled by default in Feisty (thanks to Jordan for pointing this out), our documentation in add-applications.xml is out of date. We should probably update this and discuss a string freeze exception.

Does anyone in the team have any thoughts on this? any objections to making an exception?

I don't have any objections, as long as the translations aren't affected.

I'm attaching a patch for branches/feisty which drops anything to do with enabling universe/multiverse and makes some other small adjustments.

I did a few edits to the Kubuntu doc and tried to take this into account. I would not object to an exception so that we can make another review.

This doesn't affect Kubuntu docs. The front page of add-applications has a note, and every instance of documentation that referred to enabling Universe and Multiverse had been removed.

I was recently told that there is another instance of this bug in add-applications.xml. I haven't had time to check yet, but for now I'll reopen the bug.

I've just checked in add-applications.xml in /ubuntu and couldn't find anything.

Me neither. Ok, either it was a false alarm or it's a problem somewhere else. Will close the bug for now.

Ah, it was in the serverguide. I've done a quick fix and updated the translations.
