Bug Description
Andreas Cimitan noticed that the default browser start page uses the pre-2010 branding. This file is provided by the 'ubuntu-docs' package and may be displayed when using a browser such as Epiphany:
/usr/
additionally there appear to be a chain of alternatives symlinks to reach this:
/usr/
/etc/
/usr/
This could be simply because it's using the branding from 'help.ubuntu.com'; bug #589057 ("help.ubuntu.com still uses old logo/branding").

The intention is to remove this material from the ubuntu-docs packages and rely on browsers to provide their own functionality when the user opens a browser and is offline. However, I'm not 100% sure of how removing the update-alternatives needs to be done, and asked for help back in April and May (https:/ /lists. ubuntu. com/archives/ ubuntu- devel/2011- May/033227. html) but haven't had any response. So for now the ubuntu-docs package in oneiric is still not uploaded, pending resolution of that issue.
