SRU: [Edgy] Upgraded documentation

Hi,

We've committed some fixes to our Edgy branch which fix a number of problems with the stable release.

I will attach the diff to this bug. There are four fixes: bug 70958 (and duplicate); bug 68343; bug 72414; and an updated German browser homepage.

The latter three fixes are not very serious, but they were in our repository and since they are not (in my opinion) invasive, I thought that I would ask permission. If you wish me to remove these, I'll do my best to isolate the first fix.

http://librarian.launchpad.net/5252310/edgy-updates.diff is OK for edgy-proposed except that: the upload target should be edgy-proposed, not edgy-updates (see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates for further details); I'd suggest basing the version number on 6.10.4 in edgy (e.g. 6.10.4.1 or 6.10.5) rather than continuing to bump it based on the date, as that will tend to clash with feisty.

This bug has now been open for 2 months, and the realistic life of Edgy will be over in about another 2. I have another update I'd like to do, but haven't been able to do it because I'm waiting on this bug.

Although I haven't spent that much time preparing these fixes and chasing this bug around, I have spent some time on it. I'd quite like to know if it is worth chasing stable release updates for ubuntu-docs or not; or if I should simply concentrate my time on the next release of Ubuntu.

To be totally honest, I think the stable release update procedure is rather inflexible - I understand that for updates to X and such, thorough testing is required, but for packages like ubuntu-docs which generally involve easy fixes and/or text updates, two months to get the fix included (apart from any time spent making it) is a bit over the top.

Hello Matthew.

Sorry that it took so long to get to this bug. The sru-verification team got restructured and we have now two people dedicated to it. We also have sru-verification days now (like the archive-admin team). So hopefully things improve now.

I did a verification for this bug and here are my finding:
#70958 - fixed
#68343 - fixed
#72414 - only fixed in the "C" language

Updated german page: fixed

I mark this as "verification-done" now.
