There are a number of pages on the Wiki making mention of changes to /etc/modprobe.d/options:

This format has been replaced, for example options for a Nova DVB-T card would now be in /etc/modprobe.d/nova.conf

My searches on the string seem to be only turning up the use of /etc/modprobe.d/options when talking about older versions of Ubuntu. So I an marking this 'Fix Released'
