I am not able to change system settings.Suppose i go to settings and want to auto-hide the dock then it doesn't work i.e.,whenever i click on OFF button ,it goes into ON state but again comes to OFF state.This happens to almost all the settings.Second software updater application is launching automatically repeatedly all the time.

(You've filed this bug against the documentation, but haven't provided the page/link where the problem is. This is likely just filed against the wrong package (ie. I note you're using GNOME so maybe your issue is with the GNOME and not documentation about the Ubuntu/GNOME Desktop; but I suspect you'd what you're after faster by seeking support)
