Bug Description
Some people try out Ubuntu, but won't install it and use it. Sometimes "eye-candyness" and user-friendliness are not enough. If they knew how important GNU/Linux is, and Freedomware in general, most of them would stick to it.
For this reason, I find it useful for the Ubuntu community to support www.getgnulinux
This was partially fixed for Kubuntu in Bug #107062.

I guess what you're saying is that there should be a prominent link to that page to let people know the basics about Windows vs. Linux. I think that's a good idea.
