Which tool should I describe?

Baobab (Disk Usage Analyzer) or just the right-click in the "Computer"
menu item?

The 'basic' option is probably to press System -> Administration -> System Monitor and to select the 'File Systems' tab. Baobab would be the more advanced option, which it might be worth mentioning too.

It seems Gutsy as a new feature (maybe is GNOME's...): if you choose
Places -> Computer and then you right click on the partition(s) or
whatever is ther, selcet Properties, you get a nice "cake chart" with
free and used space in two different color...

It's a little longer path to get, but the visual effect is more direct
and nice.

I'm attaching a screenshot (if you don't have Gutsy yet) ;)

Ah, that would be much better then! I've got Gutsy running in a VM somewhere, so I'll take a look.

I've worked out a little document for this one. It's in article form.

In my local copy it's in the ubuntu/misc/ directory...

I've also added a new entity in the gnome-menus-ent-C file, I'm attaching also this patch.

Hi Milo,

I've taken a look at your article and it's looking good so far. Could you make a few small changes, though?

 * Use <orderedlist> instead of <itemizedlist> for the instructions starting on line 23
 * Use capital letters to start each <listitem>, e.g. <listitem><para>Choose &computer;</para></listitem>
 * 'Cake charts' are more commonly known as 'pie charts' in most English speaking countries

I checked your patch for basic-commands too, and it looks like nixternal committed it a few days ago.

Thanks for all of your work!

Sure, no problem! ;)

Ok...

Ok... English conventions I'm not aware of... :)

Ok!

I asked on gnome IRC channel about the link to baobab documentation (I didn't insert it), but I got no response... I know to use ghelp style link... but don't know which link baobab doc is... do you have any clue?

I've just read the article and it looks great! Now all we have to do is find somewhere to put it...

I'll email ubuntu-doc to see what other people think. It might be nice to have a 'Disks and Drives' category under 'Files, Folders and Documents'.

Great work again Milo!

Sorry for bringing this up again... I have to write down things that need to be done...

I forgot to remove the "draft" status from "sect1"... now I added also an id to sect2...

I found this lying on my hard disk. Might be suitable for 'Disks and Drives', with a bit of work.
