Bug Description
It would be helpful if I could specify a UDD branch instead of a bug number for sponsorship.
For MP-based sponsorship items, the branch is what appears in the sponsorship queue, so finding a bug to give sponsor-patch is an extra step. Occasionally, these merge proposals aren't connected to a bug (due to the contributor committing directly instead of using --fixes or debcommit), requiring an extra step to link the branch to the bug. Still more occasionally, I sponsor changes that don't reference a bug directly. I'd prefer to avoid the extra bureaucracy of opening a ticket just to close it, but also appreciate the checks that sponsor-patch already does for me.
