Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubufox
After upgrading from Intrepid to Karmic, I re-customized the Firefox toolbar, to add the Bookmarks icon. If I then do File->New Window within Firefox, the Bookmarks icon disappears.
Workaround: This problem (of the customized toolbar being reset when File->New Window is done) goes away if I completely remove the "ubufox" package. Once it is removed, I can customize the toolbar and, when I do File->New Window retains , the customizations are retained.

Yes, this bug would definitely seem to be a duplicate of #511840. To confirm this, I reinstalled ubufox, and once again the bookmarks toolbar icon disappeared, when I restart Firefox (just like I reported when I opened this bug). I do also have had Tab Mix Plus installed (have had it installed for over a year). If I disable Tab Mix Plus, the bookmarks icon stays visible, when I start a new instance of Firefox. It doesn't disappear from the toolbar icon.
So, yes, I'd say this bug is a duplicate of #511840: You can't have both ubufox installed and Tab Mix Plus installed and enabled--if you want to customize the Firefox Toolbar. My choice is to
# aptitude purge ubufox
Is this a duplicate of bug #511840?
