Bug Description
This is an old machine, runs Live CD OK
AMD XP 2600+ / 2Gb DDR
Actually I'm writing the bug report on the live CD o 12.04 32bits
Clean HDD, used disk util to format and create new partion table.
After entering use information the installer crashes no message, just crashes (previous attempts, before cleaning the disk gave a message saying it would launch a desktop session).
I have seen several bug reports talking about gstreamer and other issues that do not apply to this case.
I'll try an older version to test the issue.

Just tested with 11.04, the installer does not crash at this point, didn't went thru the full instalation.
Later I will downlaod and try a 11.10 clean install and an alternate install CD of 12.04
