Bug Description

Once an "The application 'Install Ubuntu' has closed unexpectedly" alert <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ErrorTracker#app-crash> appears for Ubiquity crashes, the custom "Installer crashed" alert <https://launchpadlibrarian.net/69370272/ubuntu_installer_crash.JPG> should no longer appear.

Indeed thee are a couple of hooks/places where ubiquity may generate a custom crash dialog. Some comments suggest that this might be due to inability of the Error Tracker alert appearing during ubiquity only mode.

Matthew,

Are you seeing this yourself, or is this gathered from the experiences of others? I ask because that dialog should only appear if apport-gtk is not installed, which would not be the case for Ubuntu installation media.

Only from the screenshots of others. If there's already code in place to use Apport if present, this bug is Invalid.

Still a problem in master. The redundant code is here: <https://git.launchpad.net/ubiquity/tree/gui/gtk/ubiquity.ui#n360>
