install crash of Ubuntu i386 on mac intel- net CD boot

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

net i386 desk ubuntu Dapper Drake failed to install to disc. Greb was named as failure.

4th install attempt. Used Bootcamp to divide to win after Ubuntu installer couldn't identify free space left for installation. Refitted all to linux, then let CD do default install. Failed at the end, and I noticed greb net failure. Am writing to you on CD ubuntu(live) support, but all net updates failed for programs.

I can't open your link! could you send it in text?

we are trying a lilo installation - downloading not
through terminal, but through firefox. It seems our
proxy blocks all terminal contacts through the net -
aii!!!
so, are there any browsers that handle terminal level
searches, etc? We also have troubles with fink on mac
openware, so this is not new - it's academia
protecting it's secrets...I know, closed sources,
closed minds, bad education...
