Bug Description

During the installation of Ubuntu 11.10 the installer crashed (same happened during the tried installation of kubuntu)It happend during the installation from the CD (ubuntu) as well as DVD (kubuntu). Crash happened at the point of approximately 74% of the installation finished. It does not matter if the installation was started directly after the insertation of the DVD/CD or from the live ubuntu/kubuntu system.

System is a scenic w600 from fujiutsu siemens with AMD grafic card
