Bug Description
I used a LiveCD to 'upgrade' my accidental 32 bit install to a 64 bit install. On rebooting, selecting the default option in grub didn't boot but selecting the 'older versions' option in the menu and selecting the kernel presented there (actually exactly the same version) worked. And looking in /boot, we see:
mwhudson@narsil:~$ ls /boot
abi-3.0.
abi-3.0.
config-
config-
grub System.
-- the 32 bit pae kernel is still hanging around. dpkg doesn't think they belong to any package, but they are there.
