Bug Description

When installing Oneiric in the french version, at the end of the installation you get a slideshow presenting the new features.

In the french version, the slide
"Realise your documents and presentations freely" (or something like this)
is translated by :
"Réalisez vos documents et présentations librement"
witch is a slightly longer string...

... so "librement" goes to the line and is strangely presented with a smaller font. (see screenshot)

This is not a nice first impression when installing Ubuntu.

This may occur with other languages and on other slides with long titles.

Changed in ubuntu-translations:

There's not much we can do on the French l10n side. I reckon this string is long, but it can't be shortened without affecting the meaning. So I'd say it's not our work to fix this issue. The software should be able to display this correctly.

Changed in ubuntu-translations:
assignee: Ubuntu French Translators (ubuntu-l10n-fr) → nobody
status: Triaged → New
status: New → Invalid

We can shorten it to "Réalisez documents et présentations librement", but
will it be enough to prevent overflow ?

Yes we could but I don't think it sounds that great and it's definitely not our job to work around such technical problems, especially if they can occur in other languages as well.
