ubuntu 11.10 installer crashed on ssd

Bug Description

installer crashes while trying to install grub, after successfully installing grub system still will not boot with grub error "out of disk space". system is Compaq 2710p Tablet with kingspec 32gb SSD.

How did you partition it? Did you have a separate /boot and if so how big was it?

fixed issue, have to install Ubuntu on a separate partition from home folder.

I solved this problem with a small ext2 boot partition at the beginning of the drive
