Bug Description

This was encountered whilst installing 6.10.

I had already created three partitions (/, /home and swap) from a previous attempt at installation which was later aborted due to data errors on the CD. There is also a win2k partition on the disk.

When it came time to install from the new CD, I selected "manual partitioning" and then didn't make any changes (as the partitions already existed). When it asked me to select where I wanted to mount the partitions, it defaulted to /media/hda1 through /media/hda3. I modified the selections to put / on /media/had2 and /home on /media/hda3. I also asked for / to be reformatted. But when I selected OK, it said "no root partition" and I couldn't continue.

To work around, I went back to the previous partitioning screen and deleted and re-created the same partitions.

There seems to be a bug in the code that detects when no root partition is selected. It seems that changes in the combo boxes for where to mount aren't detected properly.
